CalculatorCentral

Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated:

This policy explains what happens to information when you use CalculatorCentral, including calculator inputs, technical website data and advertising choices.

About this policy

CalculatorCentral operates at calculatorcentral.org. This policy covers this website, its calculation and search endpoints, and its embedded calculator widgets. It does not cover websites you reach through an advertisement or an external link.

You can use the calculators without registering an account.

Information processed

  • Website requests: your IP address, requested page or resource, request time, browser and device information, and technical error or security information may be processed by the server and hosting services when delivering the website.
  • Information in requests: search terms appear in search URLs. Calculation API requests contain the calculator and values submitted by the caller. Shared calculator links contain the inputs included in the link.
  • Advertising information: Google and participating advertising providers may process online identifiers, cookies, page URLs, approximate location derived from IP addresses, and ad interactions, depending on your choices and their services.
  • Correspondence: if you contact the site operator, your contact details and the information you choose to send are used to respond and handle your request.

The current application does not include a separate Google Analytics integration, user accounts or a saved-calculation database. Advertising services can perform their own measurement independently of those features.

Calculator inputs and shared links

The interactive calculator forms calculate in your browser. The application does not automatically create a server-side history of the values you type into those forms. If you or an application submit a request to the calculation API, the submitted values are processed on the server to return the result.

Using “Copy link with inputs” places the entered values into a URL. Anyone who receives that URL can read those values. Opening the link sends its URL to the website, and URLs may also appear in browser history, hosting logs and information available to advertising services. Do not use shared links for private health, financial or identifying information.

Downloads and printing are initiated by you and use your browser. A shared link or downloaded result can remain wherever you save or send it. Clearing a form does not delete copies you have shared.

Why information is used

Information is used to deliver pages and requested calculations, respond to searches and correspondence, maintain security, troubleshoot failures, and support advertising and ad measurement. Information may also be retained or disclosed when required by applicable law.

Where European data protection law applies, consent is the basis for optional advertising storage and personalization that require it. Necessary operation, security and responding to requests may rely on legitimate interests, and processing required by law relies on the relevant legal obligation. The applicable basis depends on the purpose and circumstances; Google describes its own bases in its privacy policy.

Google advertising and cookies

CalculatorCentral integrates Google AdSense. Google and other advertising vendors may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on visits to this and other websites. Advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize ads across websites, subject to your choices and applicable requirements.

Advertising technology can also support contextual ads, measurement, frequency limits and fraud prevention. Choosing non-personalized advertising does not necessarily disable every cookie or technical request.

Read how Google uses information from partner sites, Google’s Privacy Policy, and Google’s advertising information. Where an advertising privacy message is displayed, its vendor options describe the participating providers and purposes.

Your advertising and cookie choices

  • Where a site privacy message is displayed, use its consent, refusal or preference options. To revisit a choice, use the privacy or consent settings link supplied by that message, when available.
  • Manage Google ad personalization in My Ad Center. Participating third-party advertising choices are also available through YourAdChoices and Your Online Choices.
  • Your browser can block or delete cookies. Preferences may need to be set again after deleting cookies, or when using another browser or device. Browser controls and provider ad settings do not replace a request concerning information held by the site operator.

Reading this policy, continuing to browse, or following an external privacy link does not itself record an advertising consent or opt-out choice on this site. You can also make a privacy request using the contact details below.

EEA, UK and Switzerland

Subject to the law that applies to you, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your personal information, and object to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal. You may complain to your local data protection authority.

Use any available site consent controls for advertising choices and the contact details below for requests to the operator. For information held independently by Google or another provider, its privacy policy explains its request channels. Learn more about European data protection rights.

United States privacy rights

Depending on your state and the law’s applicability, you may have rights to know or access information, obtain a copy, correct or delete it, and opt out of targeted advertising or a sale or sharing of personal information. Some laws provide rights concerning sensitive information, authorized agents, appeals and protection against discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

Advertising identifiers and related information disclosed for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under some state laws, even without a payment for that information.

Where a US privacy message provides “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information,” use it to communicate an advertising opt-out. You may also contact the operator to make a request or ask about an appeal. Where reasonably necessary, information may be requested to verify your identity or an agent’s authority before responding to an access, correction or deletion request. Avoid sending identification documents unless specifically needed.

See the California Attorney General’s consumer privacy guidance for more about California rights, including opt-out preference signals.

Service providers and international processing

Hosting and infrastructure providers process requests to deliver and protect the service. Google and participating advertising providers process advertising information under their own policies and the applicable privacy choices. Information may also be disclosed to meet a legal obligation or protect the service and its users when legally permitted.

Providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States. Applicable transfer safeguards depend on the provider, destination and law. Google describes its transfer arrangements in its data transfer information.

Retention and security

The application has no saved-calculation history to retain. Request records, correspondence and provider-held information have different retention needs, such as responding to a request, security or legal obligations. Provider cookie and retention periods are described in the relevant provider policies; there is no single retention period for all of these categories.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Avoid entering personal identifiers or unnecessary sensitive information into calculator fields, shared links or messages. You can ask the operator about information relating to your use and any applicable retention period.

Children and external websites

CalculatorCentral is a general-audience service and does not offer child accounts or request a child’s contact details through its calculators. If you believe a child has supplied personal information to the operator, contact the operator so the matter can be reviewed.

External references, advertisements and sites that embed a calculator have their own privacy practices. Review their policies; this policy covers CalculatorCentral’s service rather than the surrounding third-party website.

Contact and policy updates

For questions about this policy or to exercise your privacy rights, contact CalculatorCentral at mydigitalcatch@gmail.com. Please describe your request and the country or state relevant to it, without including unnecessary sensitive information.

This policy may be updated when the service or its data practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
